LENS KANGAROO ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR
A photographic tour and workshop on Kangaroo Island with Len Metcalf will be an unforgettable experience. Full of unique wildlife opportunities, birds and wildflowers. Rugged seascapes through to gentle beaches. Rolling pastoral hillsides dotted with unique Australian buildings. Kangaroo Island even has its' own mini desert sand dunes. Photographically there is something for everyone.
We pick you up in Adelaide in the morning. And drive you to Kangaroo Island. There is a short ferry trip between the mainland and the island. Alternatively you may choose to fly directly to Kangaroo Island so you can avoid the 40 minute ferry ride and we will pick you up from the airport, only ten minutes from our accommodation venue, in the evening.

A TYPICAL DAY
We are up pre dawn and off shooting at a location near our accommodation to enjoy the sunrise colours. We often return home for breakfast, though some days we may be served breakfast in the field or visit a local coffee shop. If there is something on offer to photograph we photograph up till mid morning. Where we return to our accommodation for lunch. Lunch often comes with an inspiring photographic presentation by Len, and time to learn specific techniques that might be limiting your photography. We often have enough time in the day for a short afternoon nap, before heading out to photograph in the evening light. Dinner is often followed by a printing and critique session. Our days are planned by Len, in consultation with the group, around the local photographic opportunities and timing accordingly to be in the right place at just the right time. Four full days shooting is long enough to become totally immersed in your photography, but also short enough to not become overly exhausted. Short Lens is the perfect length, and combines a tour and workshop format together to inspire, develop and nurture your photography.

TESTIMONIALS
“I wanted to write and thank you so very much for a truly wonderful week. We saw Cradle Mountain in all its weather systems and you made sure we were all able to capture its uniqueness. It is certainly a stunning part of the country and the world and I was so thrilled to finally make it there after years of wishing! You were such a fabulous tour leader and looked after us so so so well!!! I never saw you show any sign of anything other than care and concern. Thank you! It was a wonderful tour and a great group. We certainly experienced some fantastic wildlife and some stunning scenery. The weather was fabulous and to have had the chance to experience the frost and that special fog / mist rising was amazing! I just hope I have a few photos to do it justice. It was lovely to get to know you better and to have the opportunity to have so many great chats. Thank you for being so attentive and supportive and for your guidance and advice both when taking photos and when processing them. I learnt so much. I just need to write a lot of it down so that I don’t forget it! I have been able to upload all of my photos which is wonderful. I loved seeing you fly your way around Lightroom and absolutely adored your processed images! WOW!!!!! Just stunning! You must have been thrilled! Looking forward to seeing you next week. Again, thank you for such a brilliant experience! Kind regards,”
