This is Len's favorite lens. He uses it for 95% of his photographs.

It is slow to use, heavy and very very sharp at f2.8. It is lovely and soft at f0.95. I rarely use this lens past f5.6. It will take you back to your manual film camera days. To focus I open the aperture up to 0.95, focus and then closes it down to shoot at the required aperture. I do it by feel and look. On a MTF camera is is very easy and very accurate, but is slow.  No data is transmitted to the camera, so you will never know what aperture you set it on unless you write them down.  This is the lens that changed Len's photography and enabled him to fall in love with digital black and white. It is his "Nifty fifty"
